These Policies, Terms, and Conditions (“Terms”) govern participation in all Athletics Miami Sports programs, classes, teams, activities, and events. By enrolling a participant, the parent/guardian (“Parent”) agrees to these Terms in full.

1. Substitute Coaching & No-Cancellation Policy

Athletics Miami Sports maintains a No Cancellation Policy for all after-school activities.
In the event of instructor absences, the program may assign substitute instructors, assistants, or personnel at its discretion in order to maintain continuity of service.
Participation is not contingent on any specific instructor, and refunds will not be issued based on instructor preference.

2. Activity Locations & Adjustments

The program may adjust class locations, playing areas, schedules, or activity structures due to weather, safety, facility restrictions, or other logistical considerations.
Such adjustments do not constitute grounds for refunds or credits.

3. Coaching Assignments

All coaching assignments are determined exclusively by the Coaching Director.
Enrollment does not guarantee instruction by any particular coach.
Refunds or changes will not be issued due to personal coach preference.

4. Parent Responsibilities for Team Activities

Parents are responsible for:

  • Ensuring timely arrival to games

  • Setting up and returning tents/equipment as required

  • Providing proper attire, uniforms, and any league-required accessories

  • Complying with league instructions and requirements

Coaches are not responsible for these duties.

5. Coach Responsibilities

Coaches are responsible for:

  • Conducting practices and coaching games

  • Maintaining student safety during supervised program activities

  • Dismissing students safely to authorized individuals on practice days

  • Sharing schedules, updates, and essential program information

Coaches are not administrative contacts and must not be approached with administrative issues at any time.

6. Communication Policy, Concerns & Formal Complaints

All administrative questions, concerns, and formal complaints must be submitted in writing (email or text message) to:

If no response is received within the expected timeframe, Parents should call directly.

 

STRICT COMMUNICATION BOUNDARY

To ensure safety, professionalism, and conflict de-escalation:

No parent may directly approach, confront, or communicate with a coach before a game, during a game, immediately after a game, or during any emotionally charged moment in the presence of children.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Disputes

  • Concerns

  • Complaints

  • Coaching advice

  • Criticism

  • Questions about playing time, strategy, or decisions

Parents must wait the required 24–48 hours and follow the formal communication chain listed above.

 

CONSEQUENCE FOR BREAKING THIS RULE

Any violation of this policy constitutes a breach of the Code of Conduct and may result in:

  1. Formal Warning

  2. Suspension of Parent and/or Athlete

  3. Termination from the program without refund

7. Athlete Placement & Development

Athletics Miami Sports reserves full discretion over athlete placement, training progression, and the level of challenge provided.
Parents may not override professional placement decisions.
Adjustments will be implemented based on developmental appropriateness.

8. Admission, Conduct, and Financial Obligations

The program reserves the right to accept, limit, deny, suspend, or terminate services based on:

  • Athlete or Parent behavior

  • Prior conduct

  • Program disruption

  • Safety concerns

  • Unresolved financial obligations

Payment constitutes acceptance of all Terms.
Once an athlete attends at least one (1) class, all sales are final.

No refunds will be issued for:

  • Dissatisfaction with services

  • Voluntary withdrawal

  • Coaching preferences

  • Schedule disagreements

  • Behavioral dismissals

  • Missed classes for any reason

Refunds may only be considered for extreme, program-approved circumstances.

9. Athlete & Parent/Guardian Code of Conduct

Participation requires full adherence to the Code of Conduct by both athletes and parents.

Failure to comply may result in:

  1. Warning

  2. Suspension

  3. Termination (no refund)

A detailed, written version is available upon request.

10. Parent/Guardian Code of Conduct

Respect & Behavior

  • Demonstrate sportsmanship, positivity, and respect at all times.

  • Refrain from confrontational, aggressive, or disrespectful communication.

  • Follow all instructions from league officials, school partners, organizers, and staff.

 

Sideline Behavior

  • No coaching from the sidelines.
    Only program-assigned coaches may instruct or direct players.

  • No yelling at referees, players (from any team), coaches, or staff.

  • No negative comments, insults, or complaints directed toward officials or opponents.

  • Maintain a calm, supportive presence at all games and practices.

Respect for Facilities

Parents agree to respect all facilities used by the program, including:

  • School campuses

  • Public parks

  • City or county fields

  • Shared community spaces

This includes following all posted rules and staff instructions.

 

League Compliance

Parents will comply with all:

  • League rules and regulations

  • Field use policies

  • Safety procedures

  • Game-day protocols

 

Confrontation Prohibition

Parents may not confront:

  • Coaches

  • Other parents

  • Officials

  • Athletes
    before, during, or after games.

Violations result in disciplinary action as described in Section 6 and Section 9.

11. Sponsorships & Donations

Sponsorships and donations are welcomed but subject to approval by the Program Director.
No obligations or promotional deliverables exist unless mutually agreed upon in writing.

12. Program Independence

Athletics Miami Sports is an independent entity in collaboration with, but not governed by, Alexander Montessori School (AMS).
All operations, policies, and administrative decisions are exclusively handled by Athletics Miami Sports.

13. Assumption of Risk, Liability Waiver & Release

By participating, Parents acknowledge the following:

Assumption of Risk

Sports activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Falls

  • Collisions

  • Weather conditions

  • Equipment-related injuries

  • Unpredictable physical activity

Parents voluntarily assume all such risks.

 

Liability Waiver

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Parents agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless:

Athletics Miami Sports, its directors, officers, employees, contractors, coaches, and affiliates

from any liability, claims, damages, or costs arising from participation in program activities, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

Medical Authorization

Parents grant permission for the program to seek emergency medical treatment if necessary.
Parents accept full financial responsibility for any resulting medical expenses.

14. Media & Photography Release

Parents grant Athletics Miami Sports permission to use photos/videos of participants for promotional or documentation purposes unless an opt-out request is submitted in writing.

15. Acceptance of Terms

Participation, enrollment, or payment for any Athletics Miami Sports program constitutes full acceptance of all Terms and Conditions described herein.
